OBJECTIVE:
ConstructEdge (CE), a B2B technology company, provides internet and other connectivity solutions to construction companies and their jobsites across North America. Due to the intangible nature of CE's offerings, it was often difficult for customers to picture why they should choose CE for jobsite internet. These decision-makers looked at diagrams and schematics all day, but needed help to envision our story and solutions within them.
PROCESS:
Initial graphic iterations were simple and mostly in grayscale so I could highlight the specific products/solutions desired. This required extensive research and understanding of the products and how the clients are using them. Over time, I became faster and started adding more color back in—the large graphics were becoming especially muddy in too much grayscale. While I was able to license some elements from stock sites, a large portion of my time still included building custom elements and the overall scene.
The overall feedback was extremely positive. Prospects that wouldn't give a second glance to a stock image were drawn into these graphics that resembled their jobsites, picking up on the small details and curiously inquiring about unfamiliar products.
