OBJECTIVE:
Orbit Farm Technologies is a small B2B business unit at CCR that sells internet connectivity, security, communication, and productivity solutions to farmers—primarily pork producers. They were operating with 2-3 full-time team members and I would occasionally be allowed to provide marketing support to them, as I was a shared resource. Their website didn't really talk about their basic services, so I pushed to make some updates.
PROCESS:
As I was developing and editing a lot of content for ConstructEdge at the time, it was fresh in my mind and simpler to translate it over to farmers. Having also grown up on a farm and knowing the limited technology understanding of Orbit's older farming audience, my goal was to create high-level content that encouraged farmers to embrace technology; not seem condescending that they didn't have it.
I assembled the internet connectivity overview and security overview pages before I had to shift my attention back to other business units. First designed in Adobe XD and then built out in WordPress.
