OBJECTIVE:
St. Louis University (SLU) contracted with my previous employer for an application generation campaign. They needed a postcard turned around quickly so I took the job instead of assigning it to another designer.
🏆 This postcard design won a 2020 Gold award from the HEMR Higher Ed Awards.
PROCESS:
The postcard was to be mailed to high school seniors, encouraging them to apply to SLU for consideration to be admitted. The campaign writer provided me with the text, I worked with the client's brand guide, fonts, photos, and colors. Our materials were always created to be cohesive with the school's existing enrollment collateral.
Postcards are very limited real estate and have strict rules for USPS placement of address and indicia (pre-printed postage). USPS machines read postcards from the bottom up, so I was able to place the stats above the address without affecting postal processing.
